Coleman ColiseumAlabama Crimson Tide

323 W. Paul Bryant Drive, Tuscaloosa , AL, 35401
Tuscaloosa, Alabama has been put on the map by the multipurpose facility, the Coleman Coliseum which has been hosting events since 1968 and its fame is still spreading. It has a unique design with a ceiling of acoustical tiles which give it a striped appearance. It was opened to replace the Foster Auditorium and was named the Memorial Coliseum till it got its present name in 1988. Today it is home to the Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team and is sharing it with the women's gymnastics team also. Although it is an athletic arena, the event to be hosted here was a Broadway show and it still hosts several cultural events and concerts. President Ronald Reagan also visited the stadium in the 1984 during his presidential pre-election campaign. The stadium is multi-surface and can seat more than 15,000 people for any event.
