Buck Shaw StadiumSan Jose Earthquakes
In 2005 Santa Clara's Broncos baseball team moved to their new stadium, Stephen Schott Stadium, and gave their field to the school's soccer team and the Major League Soccer team the San Jose Earthquakes.
All good things come to those who wait and never has the opening of a stadium been anticipated with such bated breath. The San Jose Earthquakes Stadium which will be the home of the San Jose Earthquakes broke ground on October 21st, 2012 with 6256 pairs of hands digging diligently which has made it into the Guinness World Record. The open air stadium has been scheduled to open by 2015 with a natural grass turf. One of the most interesting features is that it is going to have a single deck bowl which is going to give the viewers a close view of the games being played. The ongoing cost is around $60 million and will include 18,000 seats, luxury suites, patio suites and club seats.
The stadium is conveniently placed near the San Jose International Airport and with the construction work already started; fans are eagerly booking their stadium tickets.
