Air Canada CentreToronto Maple Leafs
The Air Canada Centre is home to the NBA's Toronto Raptors and the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. The Centre opened in 1999 and construction costs were 265 million Canadian dollars. With standing room, the centre is able to seat up to 20,511 for basketball games and 19,746 for hockey. Air Canada Centre features ground floor luxury seating, a divided scoreboard, and multiple restaurants inside. The Centre has also hosted many popular concerts and some political conventions. Air Canada Centre stands where an old Toronto post office once was. In 2008, a 10x17 feet high definition scoreboard was installed. It takes about 4-6 hours to convert the basketball floor into an ice hockey rink. Toronto features a PATH walkway system which is climate controlled and underground and the Air Canada Centre is connected to this walkway.
