Reston Limousine is expanding its Ballpark Bus service to provide round-trip transportation to FedEx Field and Nationals Park from restaurants all around the DC area. "Ballpark Bus is an exciting extension of our sporting event transportation services, providing Reston Limousine's luxury chauffeured services through a public operation that nicely complements our private charters," COO Tony Simon said. The service has been operating from Clyde's Willow Creek Farm in Broadlands for the past 18 months, and has transported more than 1,000 passengers to Redskins and Nationals games, as well as last year's Kenny Chesney and Paul McCartney concerts. Newsletter "The response in Ashburn has been very encouraging," says Brian Bowman, who heads the Ballpark Bus program. "Most of our bus trips sell out, so we know the demand is there. The next step is to scale it out across the entire DC area." Service is set to launch from the newly opened Tavern 64 at Reston Town Center for the remainder of football season. For $39 per seat, passengers can ride aboard a 57-seat coach bus with a restroom, Wi-Fi and storage for tailgating equipment. The buses depart several hours before kickoff on a schedule designed to allow ample time to tailgate before each game. Reston Limousine plans to add five to 10 additional locations prior to the Nationals home opener in early April. Discussions with potential restaurants are underway in Fairfax, Centreville, Gainesville and Rockville. Reston Limousine also plans to offer group and corporate packages that include tickets to games. For more information and to purchase bus seats, go to: www.ballparkbus.com.
